The 'Battlestar Galactica' alum will portray the character in episode 405, which serves as a mini-crossover with 'Arrow' as Emily Bett Rickards is poised to appear.

AceShowbiz - The question of whether or not Katee Sackhoff will make an appearance in the upcoming season 4 of "The Flash" has been answered. After previously teasing her "new job" in a now-deleted tweet, the "Battlestar Galactica" star has been officially announced to join the show in a recurring role as DC Comics villain Amunet Black a.k.a. Blacksmith.

Amunet is described as "a steely and bada** boss of an underground black market for supervillains." She will not hesitate to use "every means possible, including the long list of metahumans under her thumb, to ensure her illicit enterprise thrives."

Katee is set to first appear in episode 5 of the new season. Interestingly titled "Girls Night Out", the episode will serve as a mini-crossover with "Arrow" as Emily Bett Rickards is poised to appear as Felicity Smoak.

Katee, whose credits also include "Longmire" and "24", has taken to her Twitter account to share the exciting news. The actress writes, "(heart emojis) (lightning bolt emoji) #AmunetBlack #Blacksmith," alongside a link to the news. Further showing her excitement, Katee changes her profile picture to a photo of Blacksmith.

Katee is the latest "Battlestar Galactica" alum to head to the Berlantiverse. Aaron Douglas previously appeared on "The Flash" as The Turtle. Meanwhile, James Callis, Tahmoh Penikett and Rekha Sharma made their way to "Arrow".

In addition to Katee's Blacksmith, the new season will see the arrival of Clifford Devoe a.k.a. new big bad the Thinker, portrayed by Neil Sandilands. Sugar Lyn Beard, Kim Engelbrecht and Danny Trejo are also set to guest star in season 4. Sugar will play Rebecca Sharpe a.k.a. Hazard in episode 4 of "The Flash" season 4, while Kim will portray the Mechanic, a highly intelligent engineer and the Thinker's right hand. As for Danny, he will play Earth-19 bounty hunter Breacher. Hartley Sawyer will also appear as the Elongated Man.

"The Flash" season 4 is set to premiere on October 10 at 8 P.M. on The CW.
