Pink Returns to V Festival After Fire Erupted Onstage During First Headlining Performance

The 37-year-old singer was back to deliver electrifying performances at the music festival on Sunday following her disastrous headlining set on the previous night.

AceShowbiz - Tickets for V Festival were quickly sold out after Pink was announced as one of the headliners. However, the songstress' much-anticipated set turned disastrous after a firework stunt went wrong and fire sparked on the stage in the middle of her first headlining performance.

"The fire started when a firework went off and hit the top of the stage," a source told The Sun. "It started off small but then kept growing until a bloke climbed up to the top to put it out. It was really worrying at one point but Pink just kept singing."

Despite the blaze, Pink bravely continued to perform onstage while some crew members extinguished the fire before it got out of control. Things were getting more awkward when the singer forgot the lyrics of her new song "What About Us". She coolly admitted that she couldn't remember the words, saying, "Usually takes me about four years to learn a song. I wish I'd stop shaking thank you for having me 10 years later. I forgot so many words tonight."

Pink made a triumphant return to the V Festival stage on the following night. The singer rocked her second headlining set at Weston Park, Staffordshire on Sunday, August 20. Donning a baggy jacket and tattered trousers, Pink delivered show-stopping performances as she showed off her powerful vocal and did energetic choreography with a group of dancers.

Pink is currently gearing up for the release of her new album "Beautiful Trauma", which is set to arrive on October 13. In addition, the singer was recently said to be reuniting with Eminem for new collaboration.

Tony Travatto, Senior VP/Programming at iHeartMedia in Michigan, broke the news to Detroit radio show "Mojo in the Morning". The host shared, "He says that there is a new Eminem, Pink song coming out, that he said is unbelievable. He said he got a chance to be one of the first to hear it and it'll be coming out very soon."

It's still unclear whether the new collaboration will be included on "Beautiful Trauma" or Eminem's new album, which will reportedly arrive this fall. Pink previously assisted Em on "Won't Back Down" off the rapper's 2010 album "Recovery". She said of the spitter, "I think he's one of the most poetic, ballsy, and hilarious people this industry has ever seen. I was always afraid he'd pick me as a target [in his lyrics], but he's always been nice to me and finally approached me to be on the album, so I must have done something right."
