Lea Michele is excited to start filming for her new TV project, "The Mayor". The former "Scream Queens" star takes to her Twitter account to share some set snaps, one of which features co-star Bernard David.
The "Glee" alum, who wears a blue-and-white striped shirt, poses alongside Bernard for a cute selfie. "Excited for our second day of filming on @TheMayorABC!" she captions the snap.

"The Mayor" follows young rapper-turned-mayor Courtney Rose (played by Brandon Micheal Hall) who needs his big break. For years, he's toiled away in a small inner-city apartment, making music in his bedroom closet. Tired of waiting for opportunity, Courtney cooks up the publicity stunt of the century: running for mayor of his hometown in California to generate buzz for his music career. Lea plays Valentina Barella, Courtney's friend who will help Courtney to overcome his hubris if he wants to transform the struggling city he loves.
Created by Jeremy Bronson, the comedy will premiere on October 3 at 9.30 P.M. on ABC.
