Kim Jaejoong, formerly known as Hero Jaejoong, was involved in a small accident while filming his upcoming drama "Manhole" on Monday, July 17. The JYJ member injured his thumb and had to stop filming in order to receive treatment.

The "Mirotic" hitmaker cut his thumb on a bottle of soju which was used as a prop for a scene in the drama. As a result, he had to receive seven stitches. "While the injury is not minor by any means, Kim Jaejoong decided to return to filming after only one day of rest because of his strong dedication to the drama and because of the number of scenes that involve him," his agency, C-JeS Entertainment, said in a statement.

Fans expressed their worry by writing comments under one of Jaejoong's photos on Instagram. "How are you now Jaejoong? It must be painful. Please take your medicines timely and have regular meals. Get well soon. I will remember you in my prayers," a fan commented. Another added, "I heard you got injured.. Please get well soon and take care while filming."

Prior to this, Jaejoong posted the poster of "Manhole" on Instagram. The posted featured the main characters of the drama standing amid tall buildings. The word "man-hole" was written across the poster using different colors. "#man_hole," so the caption read.

"Manhole" is a fantasy time-slip drama which tells a story about a man who accidentally falls into a manhole and attempts to stop a marriage from happening in the present. The drama, which also stars Uee and B1A4's Baro, will start airing August 9 on KBS.
