The 42-year-old actress has bought a lavish mansion close to the 'Allied' actor's house because their kids 'did not like being so far from Dad.'

AceShowbiz - Everything is going well for estranged couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Although the two are still trying to put the anger behind them after the messy split, Angelina decided to bring her six children closer to their dad by purchasing a lavish mansion just down the road from Brad's home. The have just moved in, and reportedly couldn't be happier for being closer to the 53-year-old actor.
"Angelina and the children have completed their move and are now living in their new mansion, close to Brad," a source told HollywoodLife.com. "They had spent their spring and part of the summer in Malibu, about an hour drive from Brad, which was hard on the kids. While they liked being at the beach, despite everything, they did not like being so far from dad."
"Now that they are skateboarding distance to Dad's house, they are much happier being close to him, and back in the neighborhood they consider home-about a mile from Dad," the source added. "Angelina had her team move her and the kids into the massive 6 bedroom, 10 bath, 11,000 square foot mansion that she bought for $24 million in June, during their recent trip overseas-so that when they returned to the States, their new home was ready for them. They are now settled into their new place, close to Brad, and all is well."
Although Angelina and Brad seem to be on good terms now because of their kids, it is reportedly still hard for them to talk about their split. It is "still too painful and emotions still too raw for them to be talking about what went wrong, and what could have been different," a source previously said, before adding, "They both need to heal more first."
