Queen biopic "Bohemian Rhapsody" has found its drummer in Ben Hardy. The Sun is the first to report the news. It says that the Archangel of "X-Men: Apocalypse" has been cast as Roger Taylor in the upcoming movie.
A source has told the news outlet that "Ben caught the eye of producers and he has worked with director Bryan Singer on 'X-Men'." According to the source, "After a couple of screen tests, bosses decided he was the perfect man for the job and signed him up. He's very excited."
"But he's got plenty of work to do before filming starts," adds the insider, who goes on to reveal that the 26-year-old British actor has "even started taking drumming lessons to get up to scratch."
Ben will star alongside Rami Malek in the upcoming biopic that will follow Queen's journey up to their appearance at the Live Aid concert in 1985. The "Mr. Robot" star has already been tapped to play the iconic band's frontman Freddie Mercury.
Movie bosses are still busy trying to cast two more actors to take on the roles of Brian May and John Deacon. It's reported that the filmmakers are keen to recruit up-and-coming acting talents for the vacant roles.
