Todd Fisher has showed his approval of his niece Billie Lourd's relationship with Taylor Lautner. In a recent interview, Todd claimed that since the deaths of his sister Carrie Fisher and his mother Debbie Reynolds, he has been protective with his niece, especially regarding whom she's dating.

"As any uncle, you're suspicious of the guy hanging around your niece. She's cute and all that. She's had other boyfriends, good boyfriends, but I'm certainly going to give that guy the extra look-over. I don't give a s**t what his background is," Todd told E! News.

However, the 59-year-old actor couldn't help but praise Billie's current boyfriend, saying that Taylor is an "amazing support system for her." He said, "The truth of the matter is, the guy is pretty spectacular. He's a really deep person, and he has supporting her amazingly."

Todd further claimed that he is grateful for having Taylor in his family. "He's stepped up and acted like a husband would act. Not that that's what's going on, but it's just an amazing support system for her, and I'm glad he's in her life. That's not easy for me to say, if you think about it!"

Speaking of family, Taylor and Billie were said to be ready to settle down. Rumor has it, the two, who co-starred on "Scream Queens", were already talking about marriage after dating for less than a year. A source previously revealed that they had been "discussing wedding locations, and it's down to Hawaii and Cabo San Lucas."
