Things don't look good for Sungmin of Super Junior. Shortly after his Korean fans demanded him to be removed from the group, his wife Kim Sa Eun liked an insulting photo about Super Junior's fans, ELF, on Instagram on Monday, June 12.
The controversial photo saw a drawing of a person named Worldwide ELF slapping another person named Korean ELF. This photo represents the difference of opinions between Super Junior's international fans, who want Sungmin to stay, and Korean fans, who want him to leave. Kim Sa Eun also liked several other photos that read, "SUNGMIN STAY."

Fans were angered by her careless action and said that she should have stayed quiet. "She should just stay quiet unless she likes to see her husband getting backlash. Or is she really that dumb?" a fan commented. "His wife doesn't understand what's happening and is acting like an attention whore," another added.
One of Super Junior's fan communities, DC Super Junior Gallery, previously posted a statement titled "Sungmin Out". Korean fans believed that he had changed after he got married in 2014. They were specifically upset by his way of announcing his marriage and his lack of communication with fans after being discharged from the military.
"When there were reports about his dating, most fans congratulated him. But when fans asked him to say something regarding his wedding rumors, he ignored the requests," the community said in a statement. "Fans found out about his marriage through the news and decided to stop supporting him."
"We no longer support Sungmin, who has shown disrespectful attitudes and behaviors toward fans, and we will boycott all of his activities as a celebrity," the statement read. "We believe that Sungmin being part of Super Junior will affect their activities in the future and request that he stop his activities as a Super Junior member."
