The 'Scream' singer explains on Instagram that he's forced to back out of Ariana Grande's fundraiser due to family duties.

Usher couldn't make it to Manchester for One Love benefit concert. He was supposed to perform along with the likes of Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber and Pharrell Williams to raise money for victims and families affected by the bombing last month, but family duties kept him away.

"So happy to see that last night's concert in Manchester proved that love always prevails. I would have loved to be there but it was my son's first day at Camp Kudzu, one of the few summer camps for kids living with diabetes," he explained on Instagram. "This was an important day for him and for myself as a proud father. Stay strong UK."

Usher was not the only star skipping the fundraiser. Noel Gallagher was absent when Oasis made a surprise appearance at the concert. Liam Gallagher performed the band's "Live Forever" with the help from Coldplay's frontman Chris Martin.

"What an amazing night last night pure love vibrations nobody comes close to Manchester love forever," Liam tweeted after the show. He also addressed his brother's absence, "Oh and if anybody's seen rkid tell him he can come out now as you were. Manchester id like to apologize for my brothers absence last night very disappointed stay beautiful stay safe. Noels out of the f**king country weren't we all love get on a f**king plane and play your tunes for the kids you sad f**k."
