Taylor Swift was not joking when she hinted that she would walk away from the spotlight for some time. The pop star is currently working hard on her new album in her Nashville studio, readying the best materials for her fans. She has reportedly "entirely focused" on the new album making and almost had no time for other things. However, it looks like the project is slowly coming together, and fans could definitely expect new music from her this year.

"Taylor has been writing and recording her new album in Nashville for the last several months," a source told E! News. "She has been working on it around the clock and will be making an announcement soon. She is really excited about her new music and can't wait to share it with her fans."

The source added, "She has entirely focused on that and not much else. She has been 100 percent dedicated to making music the last few months and that's it." Her last public performance was when she took the stage at pre-Super Bowl concert in Houston, Texas on February 4. She said at that time, "By coming to the show tonight, you are attending 100 percent of this year's tour dates."

In addition, Taylor is reportedly struggling to figure out "whether or not she wants to continue in the pop genre." There hasn't been any clue whether she wants to continue with pop, which has brought her to fame, or back to her country roots on the new album.
