On Monday, April 17, Marvel Studios invited several media outlets to an open house at their offices on Disney lot in Burbank. During the tour, they were given a chance to look at the concept art for the upcoming "Captain Marvel" movie. The concept art featured Brie Larson in the titular superhero suit.

According to IGN, Larson's Captain Marvel seemingly will have shoulder-length blonde hair instead of a mohawk she sometimes sports in the comics. "Her costume and hairstyle are very close to the early issues of Kelly Sue Deconnick's run," the site reported, referring to the original writer of the comics. "Her dirty blonde hair is almost shoulder length. She did not sport the mohawk or upswept hairdo she has sometimes worn in the comics. It appeared perpetually windstrewn from flying about," read the report.

As for the costume, IGN reported that the suit had "that texturized look we've come to expect from any superhero movie suit now." The site added, "There was some armor plating of sorts on it. The star symbol on her chest was metallic and looked more silver than gold. Otherwise the color scheme was the same but a bit more muted."

Marvel reps noted that while the concept art had been made, there hadn't been any actual suit for Larson to try on. The designs were still in early stages and might evolve once they found a director for the film.

Starring Brie Larson as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, "Captain Marvel" is set to hit U.S. theaters on March 8, 2019. Samuel L. Jackson reportedly will also appear in the movie, reprising his role as Nick Fury from "The Avengers".
