"13 Reasons Why" is coming very soon on Netflix, and Selena Gomez seems very excited. The "It Ain't Me" songstress has previewed her cover of Yazoo's 1982 hit, "Only You", which will be one of the soundtracks on the upcoming series. Selena makes the song darker and very different from the original romantic ballad.

On March 29, The Weeknd's girlfriend took to her Twitter account to share the preview and announce the release date of "13 Reasons Why". She tweeted, "2 days til @13ReasonsWhy... Here's a 1st listen to my cover of 'Only You' from the soundtrack, inspired by Hannah and Clay's story. Out 3/30!"

As Selena sings the moody cover, the clip shows two young lovebirds, who seem to be the main characters on the Netflix original series, Hannah Baker (played by Katherine Langford) and Clay Jensen (played by Dylan Minnette). "All I needed was the love you gave/ All I needed for another day/ All I ever knew/ Only you," the former Disney star sings on the slow motion clip.

Even though Selena is not starring on the series, the actress/singer is deeply involved. Not only producing a soundtrack, but also she co-executive produces the series. Previously, she claimed that the series was her "passion project." No wonder she takes it very seriously.

"13 Reasons Why" is adapted from a novel of the same title written by Jay Asher. The story centers around a high school student named Clay Jensen. Clay's world changes when he finds a mysterious box with his name on it lying on his porch. Inside, he discovers cassette tapes recorded by his classmate and crush, Hannah Baker, who has committed suicide two weeks earlier.
