Speculations about who will play Cable in "Deadpool 2" keep emerging. After Pierce Brosnan, David Harbour, Russell Crowe and Stephen Lang were assumed to play the mutant, comes a new rumor which suggests that the mutant may be portrayed by the one and only Brad Pitt.
The rumor stems from a tweet posted by Tracking Board editor-in-chief Jeff Sneider. On his Twitter account, Sneider writes, "Will be interesting to see if Brad Pitt plays Cable." The tweet comes along with an article about Isabella Amara, who will make an appearance in "Spider-Man: Homecoming".

Should Pitt be involved in "Deadpool 2", it will be the first superhero movie he stars in. The actor was recently seen in drama "Allied" and will reprise his role as Gerry Lane in zombie film "World War Z 2".
Meanwhile, "Deadpool 2" writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick recently told ComicBook.com that the announcement about who would play Cable would be "coming very soon." "It's a short, short list," said Reese at a press event. Wernick added, "An announcement will be coming very soon." He continued, "We're gonna go into production in the next couple of months and cast announcements will be coming fast and furious."
The "Deadpool" sequel is set to hit U.S. theaters on March 2, 2018. Ryan Reynolds will return to the movie as the titular antihero along with Stefan Kapicic (Colossus), Karan Soni (Dopinder the taxi driver) and Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead). Recently, Reynolds announced that "Atlanta" star Zazie Beetz would join the movie as new character Domino.
