'The Walking Dead' New Photos Reveal Sasha's Fate
TV

Sasha is locked up in a familiar-looking room after she charged into Negan's Sanctuary.

AceShowbiz -

"The Walking Dead" penultimate episode of season 7 is previewed in newly-released photos which tease Sasha's fate. In the most recent episode, Sasha and Rosita snuck away from Hilltop and headed to Sanctuary to kill Negan. But Sasha is more than ready to sacrifice herself, charging in while forcing Rosita to head back to Alexandria.

Sasha's fate is up in the air as gunshots rang out upon her entry. But based on the photos from the upcoming outing, it's safe to assume that Sasha is still alive, though she's likely taken prisoner by Negan. In some of the pictures, she is locked up in a room which is similar to the one Daryl was kept in when he was held hostage by Negan.

As Sasha is getting more and more filling out the role of Holly, Abraham's girlfriend in the comics at the time of his death, fans have been worried about her fate. Holly was killed after she was held capture by Negan and later was sent back to Alexandria as a zombie with a mask covering her face.

Adding that to the fact that Sonequa Martin-Green (Sasha) has landed the lead role on "Star Trek: Discovery", there has been speculation that the character won't make it into the next season.

Responding to this, showrunner Scott Gimple told EW back in January, "Sonequa Martin-Green can do anything." He added, "She can fulfill the duties of a Lieutenant Commander on a Constitution-class starship whilst battling walkers, Saviors, and whatever gets in Sasha's way. We've had to juggle before. I will certainly juggle for 'Star Trek' any day of the week. Okay, maybe not on Sunday."

"Something They Need" airs Sunday, March 26 at 9/8c on AMC. In the episode, "a group of Alexandrians embarks on a journey; one member of the group must make a heartbreaking decision."

The season finale will air a week later. Gimple has confirmed that there will be deaths in the season finale, but star Andrew Lincoln (Rick) promises, "It will be an incredibly satisfying ending to season 7."
