There is no bad blood between Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran. The two musicians recently got buddy-buddy in an interview with BBC Radio 1's "Breakfast Show" on Wednesday, February 22, prior to their performances at the BRIT Awards in London.

Katy was in the middle of the interview when she spotted Ed standing in the hallway outside the studio. "Thanks, babes, for keeping me off the No. 1 spot, thanks!" the "Chained to the Rhythm" jokingly yelled at the "Shape of You" crooner as she flipped him the middle finger. She continued joking with sarcastic remarks, "Oh, you're so approachable, oh, you're everybody's best friend. Oh, great."

Shortly after, Ed came into the studio to join the interview and gave a big hug to the Californian Gurl. They got along throughout the interview as the two recalled their "sweaty" first encounter years ago. Ed recounted, "The first time I ever met Katy, I played a gig in Toronto and I was sweating so bad and then I saw Katy on the side of the stage and I was like, 'Oh, God. Katy Perry's here! This is really embarrassing. I'm really sweaty.' " He continued, "I walked up to her and she was like, 'Hi. I would hug you, but ew.' "

Katy chimed in as saying, "Now that you're Ed Sheeran, it's like, 'Put your ball s**k on me!' It's like, 'All of it!' " Katy's remarks made Ed and Nick Grimshaw, the radio host, laugh.

The pair also bonded over their Grammy losses. Ed said, "I had been nominated for 13 and you were nominated for 13." Katy later added, "And guess what? We're in the next Grammy cycle together!"

Joking asides, both Katy and Ed were excited to perform their latest hits at the BRIT Awards which was held on later that night at The O2 in London. Unfortunately, the "Firework" singer's performance was overshadowed when one of her backup dancers tumbled offstage during the performance of "Chained to the Rhythm".
