The Icelandic channel's reality series follows four kittens living, purring and napping together in an oversized dollhouse which is equipped with cameras.

AceShowbiz - Forget "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" for a while, because now people are enjoying the hype of new reality show "Keeping Up With The Kattarshians". Developed by Icelandic channel called Nutiminn, the online reality series follows four cats, Gudni, Ronja, Briet and Stubbur, living together in an oversized dollhouse equipped with cameras.

In a recently-released preview titled "Lazy Monday", viewers can see the four kittens doing adorable things including sleeping, purring and sleeping some more. The show is created by Inga Lind Karlsdottir in partnership with the Icelandic Cat Protection Society.

"It's fun when they go crazy and ruin the house, but it's also calming to watch them sleep," said Karlsdottir to Broadly VICE. "There's so much bad news we read about in the media, and terrible things are happening in the world, so it's nice to sit there and relax and watch the kittens."

Karlsdottir continued, "At the beginning we got so many complaints about how much the kittens were sleeping - they're always sleeping! I thought there was something wrong with the camera, but actually kittens just sleep a lot."

The creator also revealed that it wasn't an easy thing to start the show. "It took about a year to put together, because we wanted all the animal welfare authorities to approve it," said Karlsdottir. "And here we are, a year later, with the first reality TV show starring kittens. All the people who were laughing then aren't laughing now."
