Having a near-death experience in Paris has led Kim to be more spiritual as she reads a spiritual book and launches a book club with friends.

AceShowbiz - If there is a positive side that Kim Kardashian gets from her terrifying Paris robbery, it's the fact that it leads Kim to become spiritual. She becomes spiritual after she reads a book titled "Embraced by the Light" written by Betty J Eadie, which tells a true story of the author herself who died during surgery and came back to life. It's pretty much relatable to the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star, given her experience when she was held at gunpoint during a robbery in Paris last October.
"She read the book when she was I believe 17," Eadie told Page Six. "Her father gave her his copy, and then after he passed, she started to reread. After this last event that somewhat traumatized her, then she contacted me to talk to me."
Kim took to social media to express her feeling after the meeting. She wrote on her Twitter account, "Today was such a good day! I spoke to my favorite author @BettyJEadie. This seriously made my soul smile! I feel so enlightened by our convo!"

Her interest in the book prompts her to launch a book club with her pals, Chrissy Teigen and Jen Atkin. The first book on the reading agenda is obviously "Embraced by the Light", which Kim dubs "a life-changer." She has raved about the book club on her Twitter account for a while and invited everyone to join.

Her sister, Kourtney Kardashian, also tweeted about the book. She wrote, "After hearing you talk about it for 15 years I can't believe I've never read it." Kim replied the tweet by suggesting her sister to join the club and order the book because they are going to start on Monday, February 6.

Apparently, "The Martian" director Ridley Scott also has his eyes on the New York Times best-selling book and wants to bring it to the big screen. "I'm anxious for it to come to fruition. It could be a matter of weeks when everything will be pulled together or it might take a little bit longer. If it does go into production, I will absolutely invite Kim to sit right there beside me and watch," Eadie said.
