The two singers took to their respective Instagram accounts on Friday, January 20 to express their gratitude to the former President and First Lady for their eight years in the White House.

Rihanna posted an image featuring a young Barack. The 28-year-old Barbadian singer wrote in the caption, "worst breakup ever." Beyonce, meanwhile, shared on the social media an adorable photo showing Barack cuddling close to a smiling Michelle. The "Crazy in Love" hitmaker simply captioned the pic with, "Thank you."

On Twitter, among those paying tribute to the former first family were John Legend and Kendrick Lamar. "#ThankYouObamas," the "Love Me Now" hitmaker wrote, "I'm proud to know you. Proud to have supported you. Thank you for your wisdom, grace and service to your country."

Meanwhile, the 29-year-old rapper, whom Obama praised as one of his favorite rappers, tweeted, "@potus We really gonna miss you champ. The good you've done & opportunity's you've given. Truly never know what we got til its gone. Thank u."
