A new set photo has a list which includes Kikuchi, Charlie Day, Burn Gorman, Scott Eastwood, Cailee Spaeny and apparently Karl Urban's names.

Producer Guillermo del Toro has said that surviving characters in "Pacific Rim" will return in "Pacific Rim Uprising", but he didn't give further details about the returning cast. Now, cinematographer Dan Mindel appears to reveal who will be on the film through his Instagram post.
It seems like Rinko Kikuchi will reprise her role as Mako Mori. Charlie Day and Burn Gorman might return as Newt and Gottlieb respectively. Scott Eastwood and Cailee Spaeny's names are also on the list, confirming their appearance in the upcoming movie.
But the most interesting part of the list, which has now been deleted, is what appears to be Karl Urban's name. However, the "Thor: Ragnarok" actor has just denied his involvement, tweeting that he is "not part of this project."

Although "Pacific Rim Uprising" full cast hasn't been officially announced, John Boyega is confirmed as the sequel's lead character. The actor was recently seen walking on filming set wearing Jaeger pilot suit. The suit hints that he will play one of Jaeger pilots.
"Pacific Rim Uprising" is set to be released on February 23, 2018. Steven S. DeKnight serves as director and writes the script together with Emily Carmichael, Kira Snyder and T.S. Nowlin. Other cast members who will appear in the movie are including Jing Tian, Levi Maeden, Adria Arjona and Rahart Adams.
