Janet Jackson is starting the new year with a new bundle of joy. The "That's the Way Love Goes" songstress gave birth to her first child, a baby boy, with her husband Wissam Al Mana on Tuesday, January 3, her rep confirms.
The sister of Michael Jackson named her son Eissa. "Janet Jackson and husband Wissam Al Mana are thrilled to welcome their new son Eissa Al Mana into the world," the rep tells PEOPLE, "Janet had a stress-free healthy delivery and is resting comfortably."
Janet and Wissam tied the knot in 2012. She first sparked pregnancy speculation in April 2016 after postponing her "Unbreakable World Tour" to focus on her family.
"We're in the second leg of the tour, and there actually has been a sudden change," the 50-year-old singer said in a clip shared on Twitter, "I thought it was important that you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family. So I'm going to have to delay the tour."
Janet confirmed her pregnancy in October, sharing a picture of her baby bump. "We thank God for our blessing," she said.
