AceShowbiz - That's what friends are for! Taylor Swift is reportedly helping Camila Cabello launch a solo career following her shocking departure from Fifth Harmony. 5H announced Camila's exit in a statement posted on Instagram on late Sunday, December 18.
"Whether it's advice, future collaborations, or help with writing songs, Taylor is ready to help Camila through everything," a source tells HollywoodLife.com, "Taylor supports her decision to go out on her own. She knows that Camila can be a major star, and is looking forward to seeing what she will do with her first solo album. Taylor will be there for her the entire way."
Camila addressed her departure on Instagram on Monday, saying she was caught off guard by the 5H revelation. The "Bad Things" hitmaker shared she "did not intend to end things with Fifth Harmony this way" and her bandmates "were aware" of her plans for going solo.
"I was shocked to read the statement the Fifth Harmony account posted without my knowing," the 19-year-old singer wrote, "The girls were aware of my feelings through the long, much needed conversations about the future that we had during our tour. Saying that they were just informed through my representatives that I was 'leaving the group' is simply not true."
She continued, "Just like the other girls said in their statement about their plans, I did not intend to end things with Fifth Harmony this way. As sad as it is to see this chapter ending this way, I will continue to root them all on as individuals and as a group, I wish nothing but the best for them, all the success in the world and true happiness."
