A&E takes us to follow the lives of Ku Klux Klan members on its new docuseries. The cable network has given an eight-episode series order to "Generation KKK" which focuses on several members of the KKK and their family members who try to distance themselves from the violent hate group.

According to the New York Times, the show will try to balance the highlight on the KKK members and their families without endorsing the views of the KKK. "We certainly didn't want the show to be seen as a platform for the views of the KKK," says Rob Sharenow, general manager of A&E. "The only political agenda is that we really do stand against hate."

Thus, the docuseries will also feature anti-hate activists Daryle Lamont Jenkins, Arno Michaelis and Bryon Widner, who will try to persuade members to leave the group, or at least not force their children into the KKK.

The Anti-Defamation League describes the KKK as "a racist, anti-Semitic movement with a commitment to extreme violence to achieve its goals of racial segregation and white supremacy."

"Generation KKK" has been in the works for more than a year now and is set to premiere on January 10.
