Tanaka, who's been working with Mimi for about a decade, gushes over his lady and explains why their relationship is so special during the premiere party of the singer's 'Mariah's World'.

AceShowbiz - Mariah Carey's new beau Bryan Tanaka has just totally declared his love for her. The 33-year-old dancer finally spoke up about their relationship and sweetly gushed over his lady during the premiere party of her new E! docu-series "Mariah's World".

"I've always had a thing for Mariah. I love her so much," Tanaka admitted in a chat with E! News at the Sunday night, December 4 event, before urging fans to just "tune in to the show" to "see kind of how everything happens."

Carey and Tanaka had been friends and working together for years before she began romancing him following the end of her engagement to Australian billionaire James Packer. "We've been friends for a long time," Tanaka said of his relationship with the 46-year-old songbird. "I do a little dance move here and there and we have a good time. It will be fun."

"Something connected with us back in the day and there was just a mutual admiration," he continued. "She saw something in me that I actually didn't recognize at first, from that it was over. It was set in history that we were gonna be connected some way, some how."

Meanwhile, Carey didn't say a lot about her relationship with Tanaka. She shared a little bit about their longtime partnership, though. "It's really nice, especially when you've worked with somebody in the past and then you get to work with them again," she said.

After weeks of rumors, Carey and Tanaka went public with their relationship a few days ago, after they were photographed kissing and frolicking on the beach in Hawaii. The two weren't spotted engaging in too much PDA at the Sunday premiere party, but an onlooker said that they were clearly seen "so happy in each other's presence."

"Mariah's chemistry with Bryan was subtle, but undeniable," the onlooker told ET. "It is the way they communicate. They seem so happy in each other's presence. They are on the same page - their laughing and the glances between them. You can see it in the photos."
