Katie Holmes has finally addressed her alleged romance with Jamie Foxx. Following persistent rumors that the two had been dating on-and-off for years, and were even secretly married, the actress cleared up her relationship status during a chat with New York Times.

Asked if she's "still single" or if there's "a secret marriage," the "Dawson's Creek" alum replied, "Nooo, I'm not married. But thank you for asking." She, however, didn't reveal whether or not she's dating anyone right now.

Holmes and Foxx have been linked to each other since 2013. They have never said anything about being in a relationship, but their pal Claudia Jordan seemingly confirmed that they were an item earlier this year.

"He is very happy with her, so I like that he seems very happy," said Jordan at the time. The former "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star, who worked with Foxx on his Sirius XM comedy channel The Foxxhole, ended up backtracking on her comments, though.

"A lot of times, I get asked questions about celebrities - some I know, some I don't - a lot of times we just give a safe kind of generic answer. Sorry to not have this bombshell story, but I cannot confirm them," she explained. "I don't have the knowledge of this being fact, I don't. I misspoke."

But Jordan's denial didn't stop the dating speculations. Back in October, Holmes and Foxx reportedly broke up because she kept asking him to make their romance public. Last month, they were said to have patched things up and secretly reconciled.
