Margot Robbie might be one of the reasons behind Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's headline-making divorce. According to a new HollywoodLife.com report, the actor had pursued the Australian actress for quite some time before they got to work together in 2015's "The Big Short".

"Brad has had his eye on Margot for years. He jumped at the chance to squeeze her into the role she has in 'The Big Short' so that he could spend time with her," a source told the publication. Robbie had a small role in the film, but that's enough to make Jolie super jealous.

The "Maleficent" star had reportedly "tried her best" to prevent Robbie from appearing in the film, but she "couldn't block Brad from working with Margot." The source added, "Brad went behind Angelina's back and used his Hollywood connections to get Margot a short cameo on the film."

However, the report turns out to be wrong. Gossip Cop has contacted a reliable source who can assure everyone that the HollywoodLife.com story is simply "false." The source has made it clear that Robbie had absolutely nothing to do with Pitt and Jolie's split.

Robbie isn't the first woman rumored to be the cause of Pitt and Jolie's divorce. Pitt's "Allied" co-star Marion Cotillard had to deny speculations that she had an affair with the actor during the filming.
