"The Simpsons" has reacted to its prediction of Donald Trump presidency following the November 8 election. In a scene from the last episode that aired Sunday, November 13, Bart's writing, "BEING RIGHT SUCKS," over and over again on a chalkboard. The scene has been posted on Twitter.

The episode from 2000, which was titled "Bart to the Future", showed vision of Bart's future. He has become an unsuccessful musician that gets bored on stage for the rare gig he happens to book. Bart's sister, Lisa, has been elected President and inherits the White House from none other than President Trump. She is the chief executive of the United States, or "America's first straight female president" as she calls it.
The episode portrayed how the country is broke and has created "a generation of ultra strong super criminals." In fact, the country is in such dire straits that it has "borrowed" from every country in the world."
Dan Greaney, the writer of the said "Simpsons" episode, told The Hollywood Reporter earlier this year that the Trump prediction was a "warning to America." He added, "Lisa comes into the presidency when America is on the ropes, and that is the condition left by Trump presidency. What we needed was for Lisa to have problems that were beyond her fixing, that everything went as bad as it possibly could, and that's why we had Trump be president before her."
"That just seemed like the logical last stop before hitting the bottom," he said. "It was pitched because it was consistent with the vision of America going insane."
