John Mayer is set to make his music comeback with new single "Love on the Weekend". The "Your Body Is a Wonderland" hitmaker announces on Instagram and Twitter his first new project since 2014's single "XO".
John shares an image of "Love on the Weekend" on a pink background with "11/17" written on it. The song is expected to be released on Thursday, November 17.

Earlier this week, John shared on Instagram Story a snippet of a jazzy electric guitar riff played in the recording studio.

John's bandmate Steve Jordan accidentally revealed the title of his forthcoming seventh studio album, "The Search for Everything", at the the 15th Annual Jazz Foundation of America Gala in late October. John said the album would come out "very soon," teasing, "Within days. [Or] within weeks. A very scant number of weeks!" He's also open to collaborating with his ex Katy Perry.
