John Mayer says he is open to working on new music with his ex-girlfriend Katy Perry. The "Rise" hitmaker was previously featured on John's single "Who You Love", which was released back in 2013.

Speaking to E! News at The Jazz Foundation's 15th annual "A Great Night in Harlem" event on Thursday, October 27, John was asked if it's possible that he collaborates with Drake and Katy. "If the right song came around, you know," he said, "I look at great musicians-you write the right song, you send it to somebody, but I don't have anything in mind at the moment."

John is gearing up for his upcoming seventh studio album titled "The Search for Everything". He said the record's set to be released "within days. [Or] within weeks. A very scant number of weeks!"

Earlier this week, John met Katy at Drake's birthday party held at Delilah in Los Angeles, where his other ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift was also a guest. According to an eyewitness, the "Gravity" crooner and Katy "spoke throughout the night" very "peacefully," while he and Taylor "didn't cross paths" although the party was an "intimate, mellow evening."
