Paulson is set to reprise her role as reporter Lana Winters later in the current season of the FX series, Ryan Murphy reveals.

AceShowbiz - One of Sarah Paulson's best "American Horror Story" characters is back on "Roanoke". Series co-creator Ryan Murphy has announced that the actress will reprise her "Asylum" role of reporter Lana Winters this season.

"Sarah Paulson's ASYLUM ultimate survivor LANA WINTERS returns this season on 'AHS: ROANOKE.' Happy Halloween!" so Murphy tweeted on Monday, October 31. Other details, including when the character will appear and how she will fit into the storyline, are still kept under wraps.

Lana Winters is a daring reporter who went undercover at the titular asylum to investigate an inmate who was purported to be the notorious serial killer "Bloody Face". She eventually escaped the killer and got out of the asylum.

This won't be the first time Paulson has a double role. In the last installment "Hotel", the Emmy-winning actress played Sally before reprising her "Murder House" role Billie Dean Howard.

"AHS: Roanoke" airs Wednesdays at 10 P.M. on FX.
