A fan has started a petition asking actor Ryan Reynolds to hire the Oscar-winning director as the helmer of the 'Deadpool' sequel following Miller's exit.

Following Tim Miller's departure from "Deadpool 2", a petition has been launched for Quentin Tarantino to replace him. It is posted on Change.org by Carl Champion Jr., who wants actor Ryan Reynolds to hire the Oscar-winning director as the helmer of the follow-up to "Deadpool".
"If there was ever a chance to see Tarantino do a project almost guaranteed to make a billion dollars, this is it," the petition reads. "We got a great taste of what this could be like in 'Kill Bill', but imagine having a guy like Tarantino write dialogue for 'The Merc with the Mouth'! It would be so glorious. Join me!"
The 3-day-old petition already has more than 4000 supporters. One fan writes in the comment, "Tarantino would make 'Deadpool' even greater." Another user says, "I'm a major and longtime fan of Mr. TARANTINO and ALL of his film involvements. Also, I've been a fan of the 'Deadpool' universe for years as well and feel this is an ideal mashup!"
It's unclear if Reynolds, who portrays the titular anti-superhero and serves as a co-producer, will offer the helming duties to Tarantino. The script for "Deadpool 2" is still being written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.
There is no additional information if filming on the "Deadpool" sequel is still scheduled to begin in early 2017 for a January 12, 2018 release in U.S. theaters.
