Justin Bieber wants everyone to simply listen to him when he talks to them at his concerts. The Canadian singer ended up infuriating some of his fans after he scolded a bunch of "obnoxious" Beliebers who kept screaming during his "Purpose" show in Birmingham, England on Monday, October 17.
In a video taken and shared online by a concertgoer, Bieber took a break from performing his songs to share a story about how his massively-successful tour had been keeping him away from his friends and family. That was when he found the crowd's loud screaming irritating.
"Can you guys do me a favor? Can you guys just relax for about two seconds? I get it, I get it; but I'm like two feet away from you. And I can hear you," he told the audience. "I appreciate all the love, it's amazing. But can you show it in a different way? Screaming is just so obnoxious."
"I get it, it's been in our blood and it's ingrained - you go to a concert and you scream and stuff," he continued. "But if you could just scream after the song, enjoy the song... and then take a chill pill for a second and listen to me speak."
"It gets a little frustrating. So when I'm speaking can you not scream at the top of your lungs? Is that cool with you guys? Can you do that?" he added.
But not all Beliebers were okay with Bieber's request. Some of them branded the 22-year-old rude and disrespectful toward his fans. "Actually unsure about @justinbieber tonight now after how rude he's been to his fans #justinbieber #Birmingham," a fan complained on Twitter. "But Justin bieber is a wasteman he goes 'can you stop screaming it's just obnoxious' to all these little girls. Das rude," said another.

However, a lot of other Beliebers came to the singer's defense, saying that asking the crowd to stop screaming when he's speaking was completely normal. "Hows Justin Bieber rude for asking fans to stop screaming when he's talking? Whats rude is screaming like an idiot when he's trying to speak," another Twitter user wrote.
