Nicki Minaj clarifies her comments on Kanye West's "Gold Digger" lyrics. The "Anaconda" hitmaker denies slamming the lyrics of Kanye's 2005 hit, which is about black men being more likely to marry a white woman after they become successful.

" 'Slams' a man/genius who gave me one of the biggest looks of my career? I said he wasn't kidding, he was speaking the TRUTH about d industry," Nicki responds to an article about her controversial comments against Kanye.

A fan praises the "Side to Side" rapper, tweeting, "I'm so happy Nicki is supporting Kanye, the media always tries to drift great minds apart." She then replies, "I was saying he's the one who said it first. He doesn't apologize for his choices. He tells the truth about stuff ppl don't wanna hear!"

In an interview with Marie Claire, Nicki seemingly took issue with Kanye's portrayal of the relationship between black men and women in "Gold Digger", given he eventually marrying Kim Kardashian. She said, "I'm so tired of black women feeling that when our men get rich, they're going to leave them for a woman of a different race. It wasn't funny when Kanye said [in his 2005 hit 'Gold Digger'], 'When he get on, he'll leave your a*** for a white girl' - and Kanye happens to be with a white girl now. It wasn't funny when he said it; it was the f***ing truth."

Kanye hasn't commented on the issue yet.
