"The Flash" has revealed the repercussions of Barry creating a new timeline. In the third season premiere, "Flashpoint", that aired Tuesday, October 4, [SPOILER ALERT!] Barry realized that saving his mother would have consequences, so he went back in time again and allowed Reverse Flash to kill his mother. But things will never be the same anymore.

Toward the end of the episode, Joe West said he and his daughter Iris didn't speak anymore. In case your wild mind has been speculating what that means, star Candice Patton wants to assure you that Iris "is safe and sound," adding, "but things are very different. What Joe is saying, that's not funny. We'll start to explore that the next few episodes-of what exactly is different and why Joe would say that."

She shares, "Iris and Barry work on their relationship throughout this season, which is really nice-I won't give too many details about what that looks like but they're still very much a part of each other's life. But things are different with Flashpoint!"

In the next episode, Barry realizes the effects from Flashpoint are much greater than he thought. Meanwhile, Barry meets new co-worker Julian Albert (Tom Felton), a CSI tech at the Central City Police Department, and is surprised by Julian's immediate disdain for Barry.

Emily Bett Rickards guest stars, reprising her "Arrow" role as Felicity Smoak, who hopefully will help Barry fix his big mistake. John Wesley Shipp will additionally appear as Jay Garrick.

Meanwhile, a promo for what's ahead in the third season teases the return of Wentworth Miller's Captain Cold.

"Paradox" airs Tuesday, October 11 at 8/7c on The CW.
