'Fear the Walking Dead' Just Gets Rid of Another Liability in Season 2 Finale
TV

Find out where Madison, Nick and Ofelia end up after a rampage at the hotel and an attack at the Colonia.

AceShowbiz - There's no sweet reunion on "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 finale. [SPOILER ALERT!] After meeting Brandon, Travis learned about Chris' gruesome fate. They killed him after he crashed their car and seriously injured himself, which made him a liability.

Travis took it hard and went into a rage, beating Brandon and Derek to death. Witnessing the horrifying incident, Elena's group escorted Travis out of the hotel before Madison stopped them. Strand insisted Travis couldn't stay, so Alicia volunteered the group to leave with Travis. Strand decided to stay behind.

After leaving the hotel, Madison, Alicia and Travis headed to the Colonia. But by the time they arrived, the place was deserted after it was attacked by Marco's gang. A dying Alejandro was on the bus. He told them Nick was still alive.

Nick led the community across the border, but before he, Luciana and the rest of the group arrived at what he believed to be a refugee camp, military guys appeared and opened fire. Elsewhere, Ofelia was captured by a mystery man just across the border.

Speaking of the season 2 finale, showrunner Dave Erickson assured fans that "Chris is dead." His son's death prompted Travis to kill two people and that marked a big shift in the character who was always a good guy. "It was a long time coming. Travis was the moral compass of the show to a large degree - and frustratingly so, at times, for the audience," Erickson tells EW.

He continues, "But it was always with an eye toward this moment. The one thing he promised Liza was that he would protect Chris, and he's failed to do that. The apocalypse has taken his son, and it's about to take him as well. So, he's absolutely broken, and we've seen a level of violence with him that we have not witnessed before. And it's not something that he's going to bounce back from. We took our time getting there with Travis, but he will be fully apocalyptic now, as we move forward."
