AceShowbiz - The first trailer for Kenneth Lonergan's critically acclaimed "Manchester by the Sea" has been released by Roadside Attractions. The video features Casey Affleck as Boston janitor Lee Chandler who is called back to his hometown after his brother's death and takes care of his teenage nephew Patrick (Lucas Hedges).

Set in the tiny Massachusetts fishing village Manchester-by-the-Sea, the video highlights Lee's struggle with the responsibility of being Patrick's guardian. Other scenes feature him given a suggestion to relocate, but neither he nor his nephew are interested. "All my friends are here, I got two girlfriends, and I'm in a band," Patrick reminds his uncle.

The video also offers glimpses of Lee's friend and other family members, including his separated wife Randi (Michelle Williams). He can be seen confronting her on the street. "My heart was broken, and I know yours is broken too," she says as she chokes up.

Earlier this year, the Kenneth Lonergan-directed film premiered at Sundance Film Festival and became an Oscar nominee for Best Pictures category. The drama which also stars Gretchen Mol, Kara Hayward, Heather Burns, Tate Donovan and Erica McDermott will be screened at Toronto on September 8 and is expected to have a limited release in U.S. theaters on November 18 this year.

In "Manchester by the Sea", the life of a solitary Boston janitor is transformed when he returns to his hometown to take care of his teenage nephew. The story of the Chandlers, a working-class family living in a Massachusetts fishing village for generations, the film is a deeply poignant, unexpectedly funny exploration of the power of familial love, community, sacrifice and hope.
