AceShowbiz - Another Duggar is getting ready to walk down the aisle. Jinger Duggar, the sixth child and the fourth daughter in the family, has just revealed that she's now engaged to former pro soccer player Jeremy Vuolo.
The pair, who announced their courtship only last month, are super excited about their engagement. In an interview with PEOPLE, they said, "From both of us, thank you all for the countless well-wishes we've received during the courtship."
"We are so excited to take this next step in spending our lives together. We are so grateful for how the Lord has brought us together. It has been an incredible journey so far and we are excited about serving Christ together in the coming days," they added.
Vuolo was raised in Downingtown, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Syracuse University. He played for Major League Soccer club the New York Red Bulls before deciding to pursue ministry. He later signed with the San Antonio Scorpions in the North American Soccer League in 2014 after completing a missionary trip for relief aid in the Philippines.
He got to meet Duggar through her sister Jessa Duggar and her husband Ben Seewald. "I was initially friends with Ben Seewald and Jessa (Duggar) Seewald, and it was through them that I got to meet Jinger," Vuolo said.
The pair then had the opportunity to go on a mission trip together and that was when Duggar "really saw his heart and really admired his character."
Duggar and Vuolo's courtship will be a highlight of the new season of her family's show "Counting On", which will air on TLC starting on August 23.
