Negan's heartbreaking backstory is revealed in three issues of 'Here's Negan' as fans of the TV show continue guessing who will become victim of his barbed wire-covered bat in the seventh season.

We barely know Negan who made his debut on "The Walking Dead" season 6 finale, but his interesting backstory has been partly unveiled in the comics. Image Comics is releasing a 48-page story focusing on the villain's life before the apocalypse and how he became the man he is now.
Three issues of "Here's Negan" have been released via the Image+ preview magazine, totaling 12 pages so far. The first issue reveals that Negan was a high school gym teacher. Despite being tough on his students, he also formed a close bond with them by inviting them for some ping pong practice at his home. When his wife arrived home, she criticized him a bit about his actions before she fainted.
In the next issue, his wife was diagnosed with cancer. Later in the third issue, it was revealed that Negan had an affair with another woman, but ended things with the mistress to be with his wife. His wife's health continued to deteriorate and he accompanied her at the hospital.
One day, a man rushed into the room and urged Negan to get out, insisting they had to go and his wife was too sick to be saved. Negan wanted to stay and after the man left, Negan looked out the window to see chaos. It's apparently the beginning of the zombie apocalypse.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan plays the character on the AMC series, which is expected to return with the new season in the fall.
