The main cast members have signed new deals that secure their availability for a potential eighth season.

AceShowbiz - With "Game of Thrones" enjoying a global success, HBO is sharing the financial gain with the cast. The lead stars including Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) have reportedly signed new deals that will give them hefty pay raises for future seasons.
According to Deadline, the mainstays will each earn upward of $500,000 per episode for season 7, which has already been announced, and a potential season 8. While the new deals help secure their availability for a potential eighth season, it doesn't guarantee that their characters will survive through the potential eighth season, which is said to be the last season of the series.
HBO declined to comment on the reported salary bumps.
There have been reports that the two final seasons of "Game of Thrones" will be shorter than the previous installments. HBO has not announced an episode order for season 7, but it's said that the seventh season would consist of 7 episodes and the potential eighth season would consists of 6 episodes.
