Disney and Lego are teaming up to bring Anna and Elsa back sooner rather than later. They are working on a brand new original story centering on the famous sisters from the kingdom of Arendelle for a series of books called "Frozen Northern Lights". Then, the fresh story is going to be adapted into TV shorts.

According to Andrew Sugerman, the executive vice president of Disney Publishing Worldwide, the idea began as "a partnership with the original filmmakers taking some of the rich storytelling that was in the film and finding a way to bring a new story to life that lived within the overarching Frozen franchise."

The TV shorts will debut on Disney Channel this fall while the books will be published in July by Random House. The story will center on Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff and Sven on an epic adventure to restore the glimmer of the Northern Lights. The original voice actors like Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad will reprise their respective roles. The project will also introduces a new character named Little Rock.

Disney is also gearing up for the opening of "Frozen" theme park attraction at Florida's Epcot Center, a live show at Disney's California Adventure Park, an ABC special on the upcoming holiday season, and a 2018 Broadway play with a pre-show starting summer 2017. A feature film sequel to "Frozen (2013)" is also currently in the works with the original directors Chris Buck Jennifer Lee.
