Dionne Warwick issues a statement following confusion regarding whether or not Lady GaGa will star in her biopic. A representative for the Mother Monster denied the casting after Warwick announced it at Cannes. Now the iconic singer insists that GaGa is indeed among the cast in the movie.

"Actually, it's just a little glitch," Warwick tells Variety. "It will be corrected very soon, and everybody who retracted will have to retract again." She adds that she has been in touch with GaGa's manager. "We finally have gotten texts and everything from everybody saying we'll get it straightened out," she claims.

So what's about the denial? She explains, "It wasn't her that issued the statement. It was her PR people. It's like everything else. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. It becomes a problem. When they start talking to each other, it's going to make a difference."

"As far as I know - yes," she stresses about GaGa's casting. She adds, "And if she's not, somebody else will be. It's that simple."

LeToya Luckett is expected to play Dionne Warwick and Lady GaGa is rumored to portray her rival Cilla Black. Danny Glover as Warwick's father Mansel Warwick and Olympia Dukakis as her mentor Marlene Dietrich. Meanwhile, Mario Van Peebles ("New Jack City") is eyed to direct the pic.
