AceShowbiz - Jimmy Kimmel thinks he's the answer to save America. The funnyman announced Thursday night, May 12 on his show "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" that he's running for Vice President of the United States. He announced his candidacy without a POTUS running mate.
"It's time to take out country back. From whom? I don't know, but I want it back!" Kimmel said in front of the crowd on Hollywood Blvd. "As Vice President of the United States, I will never stop fighting for you." He added, "Unless 'Game of Thrones' is on. In which case, I will stop fighting for an hour, or slightly more, depending on how many times I have to rewind to figure out what's going on."

He also urged voters to "spread the word" and "be part of the revolution."
It should be noted, though, that Kimmel has several times in the past created fake gag announcements and viral videos. So, is he serious or joking this time? Find out more about this when Kimmel guest co-hosts "Live!" on Monday and stops by ABC's "The View".
In the meantime, he can discuss his candidacy with "Scandal" star Kerry Washington and creator Shonda Rhimes, whose ABC drama series has been centering on the characters' race for the White House, as they visited his show as guests on Thursday night.
