Zombies' threat is never over on AMC. Following the end of "The Walking Dead" season 6 last week, its spin-off "Fear the Walking Dead" kicked off its second season on Sunday, April 10. In the season premiere, the group was aboard Strand's yacht Abigail and they were soon divided when they had to decide whether to help another group of refugees or not.

While Daniel agreed with Strand in this case, a clip for the next episode hints that Daniel gets suspicious of the mysterious billionaire. Daniel confronts Strand about what his actual plan that he may hide from them is.

Meanwhile, in a new promo for what's in store in the second season, Daniel points a gun to someone unseen and Maddie tries to stop him. Rebelling against the owner of the boat, Daniel says, "We don't need Strand."

Showrunner Dave Erickson addresses this internal conflict in an interview with THR. "Everybody has a very specific emotional agenda and the challenge for those on the Abigail, the bigger question is: What is Strand's agenda?" he says. "Clearly he has an idea of where he's going. Daniel points out that he was packing before the bombs fell and had no intention of staying in that house. So where is he taking them? Strand suggests San Diego but we don't know if San Diego is safer than L.A. It's quite tenuous."

Erickson continues, "There's an initial relief mixed with mourning and grief but the initial relief to be clear of land and get way from that catastrophe. And now it shifts to the question of: Who who can we trust? If we can't trust Strand, who is the captain of the boat, what do we do?"

The new episode titled "We All Fall Down" airs Sunday, April 17 at 9/8c on AMC. The synopsis reads, "Our group seeks shelter with a survivalist family. Madison tries to uncover the family's true motives. Salazar works to uncover Strand's intentions."
