James Corden is getting ready for a duet with Jennifer Lopez. Before "The Late Late Show Carpool Karaoke Primetime Special" scheduled to air Tuesday, March 29 at 10 P.M. ET/PT on CBS, the comedian shows off his vocal chops in a video to promote the hourlong special.
Channeling his inner rapper, he sings to the tune of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' "Downtown". "So tonight, I'm on my way before 12:30, cleaning up my language 'cause I can't talk dirty. I'll make your TV shine brighter than a halo, all leading up to a carpool with J.Lo," he spits the lines while introducing his guest.
To celebrate his one-year anniversary as "The Late Late Show with James Corden" host, the "Carpool Karaoke Primetime Special" will feature highlights from the past year and Corden's favorite moments so far, as well as a new "Carpool Karaoke" edition with the "American Idol" judge.
"I look forward to this hour on primetime to look at some of my favorite moments and share a couple of great new ones. I can't wait!" the British funnyman said in a statement when the special was announced earlier this month.
