Listen to the former 'American Idol' winner show off her twang as she sings the classic tune made popular by Whitney Houston while joined by a guitarist.

AceShowbiz - Carrie Underwood didn't win "American Idol" for no reason. In between dates on her ongoing "Storyteller" tour, the country superstar recently made a stop at the "Bobby Bones" radio show where she impressed listeners with a gorgeous cover of the Dolly Parton classic "I Will Always Love You".

The mother of one totally made the iconic tune, which was made popular by the late Whitney Houston, her own as she showed off her twang and signature vocals over simple acoustic guitar licks and nothing else during the performance.

This isn't Underwood's first time to have covered "I Will Always Love You". A few years ago, she performed the 1974 track as a duet with Parton herself. The "Smoke Break" hitmaker also played it at a show on her tour last month.

Underwood has been hitting the road to support her latest album, "Storyteller". Currently in Europe, she celebrated her 33rd birthday on Tuesday, March 10 by going ghost hunting in Scotland. She shared some pictures taken on her special day via her social media accounts.

"Birthday shirt. Going ghost hunting in Scotland!" she wrote on Twitter, captioning a picture of a black T-shirt bearing the slogan, "I ain't afraid of no ghosts." In other photos, she rocks a pair of green goggles while posing with a fake ghost in white sheet.
