This latest picture posted by star David Duchovny on his Instagram account suggests that Mulder and Scully's story is not over yet.

AceShowbiz -

There will be another season of "The X-Files", at least that's what is hinted by star David Duchovny in his latest Instagram post. The star posted on Instagram Tuesday, February 23 a picture of a sky with the words "The truth is on hiatus" written on it.

"The truth is out there" has been the show's famous tagline, but Duchovny changed the last two words into "on hiatus." If it is like many believe, there will be a continuation to the story that ended with a big cliffhanger in the revival finale.

Series creator Chris Carter himself is open to the possibility of making another season of the sci-fi series. He said after the finale aired on Monday, "They're going to ask for more. The ratings were very good. They were happy with the show. I talked to Dana Walden [Fox Chairman and CEO of Fox Television Group] today. She said they'd very much like more, but nothing's being negotiated yet."
