Here's the reason Khloe Kardashian dumped James Harden earlier this year. The reality show star admitted during an interview that she was being cheated on by the four-time NBA All-Star during their 7-month courtship.
"He sought me out, he wanted to be committed ...then wasn't committed," Kardashian revealed in a new clip for this Wednesday, February 24 episode of "Kocktails with Khloe". Guest Lisa Rinna asked her what happened with the last relationship and Khloe answered, "You know, I just don't want to put up with people that - you want to be monogamous, but then you're not monogamous."
They initially did not want to put on the "monogamous" pressure on James because he lives in Houston and she's in Los Angeles. But she said he wanted to commit and she gave an exclusive, long-distance relationship a shot.
"I'm not into, like, I've always said, you know, it's long distance, it's this or that, I've always said we don't need to be monogamous," said Khloe. "Like, you know, there's a lot of s**t going on in both of our lives. You live in Houston, I live in L.A., like let's just-let's see each other when we see each other."
Of making commitment, the 31-year-old revealed, "He wanted that. I was, I mean I wanted it, but I wanted to be realistic. I was like, you know what, it's unfair. I'm working so much right now, you're in Houston, let me just say, we don't need to be committed. Nope. He sought me out, he wanted to be committed, and you know, then wasn't committed, so KoKo had to let him go-go."
Khloe did not elaborate on James' infidelity but said in the 2-minute clip she had "the receipts to prove it."
Rumors surfaced earlier this year that Khloe split from James in January without anyone noticing. She then spent Valentine's Day with ex-husband Lamar Odom. In a new interview, Khloe confirmed that they were not back together despite spending a lot of time with each other. "We're not at all. I love him with every fiber of my being ...but we were married and I shared that union with him. I didn't want for our divorce to happen, but it happened for many reasons and that doesn't mean I just forget about this person," she told hosts of "The Talk".
She went on explaining, "I still believe in my vows of being there for him," she admitted. "I know it's confusing. It's very confusing. It's not a romantic place. It's coming from a place of real care and concern and love."
