The 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' star describes her prison stay as 'living in hell' while saying that she attended parties, enjoyed messages, and got her nails done.

AceShowbiz - Teresa Giudice talked about her experience in Federal Correctional Institution-Danbury. In a post-prison interview on "Good Morning America", the Bravo star compared being incarcerated to "living in hell." She said, "The living conditions were really horrible."

"It was no country club, trust me, ... I mean there was mold in the bathrooms. There was not running water constantly. The showers were freezing cold," the reality TV star elaborated. "There were some nights that we didn't even have heat ... It was -- it was hell."

She called the room she shared with other inmates "the boom-boom room" because many inmates had sex there. "When I first got there I bought headphones the next day ... So thank God for commissary," she laughed. "But I just went underneath the blanket. And we had a fan in our room. Like, this huge fan. And they would put that on every single night, so you can't hear anything."

Despite calling it a "hell," Teresa said in her new book "Turning the Tables: From Housewife to Inmate and Back Again" that she enjoyed various parties including a turkey dinner and birthday bash during her stay behind the bars. "I went to my first party the first week I was there," she claimed. "I had no idea they threw parties in prison."

Inmates even made a dress for the birthday girl. "She loved it and ran down the hall to the bathroom to try it on. She came back out and modeled it for us, pretending to walk like a supermodel on the runway - but in the streets of Danbury. We all laughed and cheered for her. I was having such a good time that for a minute, I actually forgot I was in prison," she recalled.

"Besides all the parties I was going to at Danbury, another thing I hadn't expected was that you basically had spa services at your disposal there - prison-style ... Tonya painted my nails at least once a week and did my makeup for me before visitation," she continued, adding that she got message in exchange of chips and soda.
