Also expect to see Bey engaging in a dance battle with someone else when she joins Coldplay for the group's headlining set at the halftime show this weekend, February 7.

AceShowbiz - At this point, Beyonce Knowles will surely outshine Coldplay when the band headlines the halftime show of Super Bowl 50 this weekend. In anticipation of the big game, a new rumor's swirling around saying that the R&B diva will surprise viewers with a performance of a brand new song.

The Beyonce fan site, The Beyhive, initially reported that Bey played two songs during a rehearsal on Wednesday, February 3. However, they said in their most recent update that the singer "ultimately has settled on one" and would be seen engaging in a dance battle with someone else during the show.

Beyonce has indeed been rumored to be readying a new album, a follow-up to her 2013 self-titled surprise set. In the past few months, she's spotted filming new videos in various locations across the country. No official announcement about the LP has been made, though.

The 34-year-old songbird, who served as a Super Bowl headliner in 2013, will join Coldplay at the Super Bowl 50 this Sunday night, February 7 in Santa Clara, California. "We love Beyonce's music and she's one of the greatest performers I've ever witnessed," the British group's frontman Chris Martin said of enlisting Bey as their special guest while speaking at a news conference Thursday.

He also revealed what to expect from their forthcoming set, "We've watched all of the other halftime shows many times, and most of them are fantastic. I think we're going to try to celebrate those other years and hopefully make a show as memorable as some of our favorites."
