AceShowbiz - Guess which big star that has joined the cast of "Twin Peaks". It's Naomi Watts! The Academy Award-nominated actress has reportedly signed up to become part of the continuation of the '90s classic, along with Tom Sizemore.
Deadline first reported the casting news, but their roles are currently unknown. Should the report be true, Watts and Sizemore will join original stars Kyle MacLachlan, Sheryl Lee and Sherilyn Fenn as well as newly added cast members Balthazar Getty, Amanda Seyfried, Laura Dern and Robert Knepper.
It's also reported that series creator David Lynch, who co-wrote the present-day revival and will direct all episodes of it, will appear on the Showtime series. He will likely reprise his recurring role from the original series as FBI Regional Bureau Chief Gordon Cole.
None of the latest casting news has been confirmed by Showtime. The revival, which has been in production since September 2015, is slated for a 2017 premiere.
