The Nye County sheriff's office recommended felony count but evidence did not prove that he was in possession of cocaine when he was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel.

AceShowbiz - Lamar Odom just got himself a great news. The basketball player, who collapsed in October 2015 at a brothel in Nevada, is freed of drug charges because the Nye County District Attorney decided not to prosecute him.

A spokesperson for the Nye County District Attorney said on Monday, January 11 that the evidence could not prove that Odom used the drug during his three days in Nye County. And while cocaine was found in his system, "he was not found in the possession of cocaine and it is unlikely it could establish beyond a reasonable doubt he actually ingested, or was impaired by, the drug during the time he was within the jurisdiction of Nye County."

Therefore, Odom could not be charged with felony count recommended by the sheriff's office. District Attorney Angela Bello said there were no other recommended charges sent to her office concerning the case. Odom and his attorney Blair Berk have not commented on the decision.

Odom was in a coma and put on life support in a hospital in Las Vegas following his collapse. He made an incredible recovery and was released from a Los Angeles hospital last week to undergo a rehabilitation in a private facility.
